Peer Recovery Specialist - LEAD Program
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $16.00 to $18.00 an hour
Shifts: Monday – Friday Full-Time (10am-6pm)
Job Scope: The primary goal of this LEAD Peer Recovery Specialist position is to assist the LEAD targeted case managers, to facilitate, manage and coordinate the linkage of LEAD clients with other service providers, recovery agencies and institutions. The LEAD Peer Recovery Specialist will also provide effective and ethically appropriate services to peers that include peer advocacy, mentoring, coaching, education, support, and wellness and recovery.
Educational Requirements: Candidates must have a high school diploma but an associate degree or B.A is preferred. Peer support certification is preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
Experience: Candidates must have experiential expertise living with a mental health and/or substance use disorder and be knowledgeable of the integrated services provided by the public behavioral health system in Baltimore City. Individuals must be knowledgeable on the Recovery Model, Person-Centered Care and that are WRAP trained are given priority.
